Pastor Phil grew up in the Carpentersville-Dundee area. He started attending FVBC while in Jr High school.  Trusting Christ as Savior at 13 years old, he grew in Christ and felt God's call to ministry while in High School.  After graduating from Baptist Bible College of PA in 1984 he worked at the AWANA Clubs headquarters for two years before being called to serve on the church staff of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD where he served for 10 years.  In 1996 FVBC called him back to the area to serve as Pastor. 

In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Phil serves as a chaplain to local police departments and co-coordinator of the Dundee Township Peer Jury.

Pastor Phil is married to Tammy and they have 5 children (Jami, Jim, Joe, Kerri and Nick).
