It is good to be home. I always enjoy my time away, and this time was especially refreshing. On our time away we went to the ocean (or as they say in Maryland, "down-e-ocean"). It was not a hot day, or a cold day but a cool breeze was blowing in off of the water. The ocean was thundering as waves crashed in. It was really spectacular.
I love the ocean and large bodies of water where you can hear the water in the waves. I am reminded of David's words in Psalm 29:3 where it says: The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.
As I sat on the sand at Assateague Island and even on the boardwalk at Ocean City, MD I could hear God's voice in the roar of that water. I told Tammy it is a strong voice, but it is a soothing voice as well. I spent time talking to God and then listening to Him on the water.
I hope all of you do the same. Take time and find a place to listen to God speak. You will find as I did that strong but soothing voice. That voice that is the "Thus saith the Lord" voice and also the "I will never leave you nor forsake you" voice. And if you say I don't have time...find the time. I cannot think of a voice more important to hear.
